SINGERS 2009
Knarik Nerkararyan, soprano, graduated with honors in 2003 from the Komitas Yerevan State Conservatory with a Masters Degree in Vocal Arts and Classical Singing. In 2008, she received her Masters Degree in Vocal Performance from Azusa Pacific University. In 2008 she won 2nd prize at the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition for Vocalists. She is also the winner of the 2007 and 2008 Concerto Competition at Azusa Pacific University. During 2003-2004 she participated in the International Christian Music Festival SOZO in Baja, Hungary, where she introduced wide audiences to Armenian medieval spiritual music. As a talented young artist, she was also a guest of Armenian TV and State radio programs. She has performed in different venues throughout Armenia such as Aram Khachaturyan Concert Hall and Chamber Music Hall where she performed in a joint concert of the musicians from Azusa Pacific University and the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of Armenia. She also worked as a singer and actress in Armenian State Comedy Theatre playing main roles in Armenian Operettas. Currently Knarik Nerkararyan is pursuing an Artist Certificate from Azusa Pacific University where she studies with Patricia Edwards
