Giovanni Doria Miglietta graduated with honours at the Genoa Conservatory of Music “Niccolò Paganini” under the guidance of Ms. Lidia Baldecchi Arcuri. In 2005 he received his Masters Diploma from the Accademia di Musica of Pinerolo under Franco Scala and Laura Richaud.
In September 2005, he was awarded First Prize at the XVII International Piano Competition of Ibiza in Spain and in 2006, Third Prize and the Special Prize for the best interpretation of Beethoven in The Muse International Piano Competition in Greece. He has recently won Second prize in the Luigi Nono International Competition in Venaria Reale (Torino), and the special prize in the Shura Cerkawsky Piano Competition in Milano. He has performed in Spain, France, Switzerland and Italy for such important music institutions as “42 Festival Internazionale di Cervo”, “Societa dei Concerti di Milano”, ”Unione Musicale di Torino”, “Ibiza Piano Festival” and the “Altdorf Spring Festival”. He has also performed as soloist with the Orchestra da Camera Milano Classica and the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino. At present he is studying under Enrico Pace in the Accademia di Musica of Pinerolo.
